memorial day!

Guys, owing to very persuading requests from a few characters in this trip, i have changed the names so as to keep their identities anonymous!!

Had a long weekend this time. It was memorial day this Monday n I had taken a leave on Friday. So it was 4 days of action n adventure as usual. This time the destination was Atlanta n Tennessee. Me n 5 other buddies from school planned this trip well in advance and this itself was a speciality as it's the first time we kinda 'planned' stuff n it worked out. So we all decided to meet at Atlanta. These guys flew/drove in from Illinois n Detroit n me from Seattle.
My onward journey was pretty decent as in it wasn't eventful as usual. It was a 4 n 1/2 hr flight n I finally reached Atlanta. The best part about the Atlanta airport is that it is the busiest airport in the US(not sure about the world though!). It has 5 main concourses! Thts wat they r called there. Similar to gates in Indian airports. I boarded off the flight in D n my baggage was to be collected at A. How far can it be - A to D. Lets walk n enjoy the sights n sounds of Atlanta. So I start off on this never-ending walk nad that too in a straight line. No lefts n rights. It took me around 15-20 minutes of walking thru straight corridors to finally ask someone where the bloody hell is 'A' nad then he tells me u mite wanna take the train to A and I go bonkers. Holy mother of God! ;) so I just go to the next point of entry to the train and the doors just closed when I got there and a message on the wall told me the next train to terminal A reached in 2 minutes. So I thought I'll continue walking and board it in the next gate. History repeated itself…damn it. It happened again and then I decided to walk the complete distance. Almost 1.5 miles. But the route is indeed colorful.

My buddy had come to pick me up n I reached his place after a quick drive thru Atlanta midtown. It has like 8 major universities pretty close to each other n so the streets are kinda populated with the younger crowd..u know. Its nice. U have these students all over the place. And ofcourse u find a pretty decent amount of desi's as well. The next day we left for Tenessee-to the Smoky mountains. We planned to drive down to this place and it was like a 4 hr drive. We woke up pretty early like around 1200hrs and left the house at around 1600 hrs. Don't even bother wonderign how we spent the 4 hrs from bed to the car.

The others were also on their way from their respective places to the Smoky mountains. We had booked a cottage there and it was a fabulous one. Will come to that laters. So the drive was pretty awesome too. Not much traffic as we expected and the weather Gods were just showering their blessings. Bole to ek dum mast mausam. Unfortunately it was just us 2 guys and some booze. These are the times u wish u had some spice with u!

So we finally reach this cottage and I could have sworn it was like nothing we expected. One helluva place man. Totally furnished in a luxurious manner with a completely loaded kitchen n game room. It had pool n air hockey tables, a fireplace, awesoem flat screen plasma televisions in every bedroom(there were 3) and the bathrooms were just mindblowing..had saunas n there was a jacuzi too! The bottom line being v spoilt ourselves..

We all kinda crashed pretty late that nite as we were all meeting up after wuite some time n did some catchin up. The next day, we tried our hands at the grill and made ourselvespretty decent fish n chicken grills. I tasted salmons for the first time in my senses. It was good. After some time in the tub in the hot sun, we left for the smoky mountains. That was another enjoyable drive. Winding roads through the forests. It was summer n so there were these bikers and I mean really huge ones in those Harleys..i bet these have reverse gears as well as they seem so bloody large n heavy. Another fact is that most of them are driven by the 'older' mortals. Not the old oldies but the younget oldies. The sound that it maked while it zooms past u is breathtaking. As I have mentioned before, this drive had a variety of automobiles, a true motorists heaven in fact..definitely worth a couple of orgasms!

We stopped in between a few times to get some food n also to get a view of the place. Finally we reached the smoky mountains. Well, for starters, it's a lot of mountains! Nothing spectacular as in not the highest mountain but it indeed has a spectacular view from its summit. There is this place called... damn…I kinda don't remember it…but some *****mans clove from where u get to see 3 states in te US. Don't ask me which 3. We drove back to Gatlinburg, where our cottage was. This town is indeed bustling with activity da. There are lotsa restaurants, bars, entertainment avenues, a couple of casinos and lots of things to see around. Variety is indeed the spice of life here. U get to see drunk chicks doin all sorts of stuff..obviously coz they r drunk..but it is indeed nothing short of spectacular. The female anatomy is …wow..lets not go deep into there.

So we get our asses rested in this bar where we kinda ate stuff I cant pronounce but was very tasty. Drinks were ofcourse very much a part of the nite. We left pretty late to our luxurious cottages n crashed after a few games of pool n air hockey. The next day we left for a hiking trip nearby and also went to this place called Cherokee. The name could sound familiar as it belongs to a pretty and famous pornstar :p but jokes apart, this is also a very awe inspiring place. It's a red indian colony or village. U find people with intricate designs painted on their faces and with feathers on their heads. They do speak english but u do find them speaking in some yomahogtii%%We@#q34**Guis language too which ofcourse is way beyond my comprehension. We get to see how these people go about with their lives. Very interesting for a first timer.

We finally reached the end of our smoky mountain trip and returned back to Atlanta. Now we got some time to spent but we were pretty tired and so kinda literally sat at home. The guys who drove down from chicago n michigan had to leave pretty early in the morning as they had like 10-12 hr drives back to their places. My flight was at 1830 hrs in the evening and so I had some time to roamaorund Atlanta with a buddy. Got to eat some Mysore masala Dosa from an Uduppi restaurant in Atlanta. It was pretty close to the actual one we get in mysore though. Kudos to them. Finally it was time for me to board the flight back to the evergreen state, Seattle to be more precise. I reached the airport just in time and I was the last one to board the flight and I had my seat in the last row too. The best part was the flight had a sexed out demography as in there was a no leeser that 70% female population and im sure the remaining 30% were thinking the very same thing…and to my surprise, I had a middle seat and I was flanked by two very pretty specimens of the above mentioned 70%. It seems that some school under the washington university had won the Lacrosse state chamionships then. Yippeeee… I cudnt help but share my happiness with them. I finally got to learn a new game…like I knew such a game existed but dint know the name itself. And Britney and Michelle were kind enuf to explain the game to me. Im sure they play the game well. The only downpoint in the whole thing was these are girls just getting out of school to go to college and they are damn excited abt it and they make these squeaky noises quite often which I had a tough time tolerating. Also they had this weird 'game' wherein they throw paper balls at each other and it was really irritating when they miss their intended targets n it hits u. Had a few drinks in the flight with the girls n that was it.

I reached Seattle n went home. Had some home made spiced up pepper chicken(courtesy: myself) n crashed. Lemme know how ur weekends were!!!
